A space heater is just as much of a fall and winter household necessity as a fan is a summertime staple. Whether or not you have central heating in your home, a space heater is the best way to easily and quickly control the temperature, one room at a time.
Now is the best time to invest in a space heater since, despite the air getting brisker by the day, there's still a few weeks left until the temperatures drastically drop. If you've done some research, you likely have stumbled upon Dreo which has earned the title of the "No. 1 space heater brand on Amazon U.S."
Seeing as those are some big shoes to fill, we decided to test out a few of its innovative new space heater models and one of its OGs to determine if these heavy words hold any truth.
From a sleek and slim tower heater unit to two compact-but-powerful whole-room heaters, these products come highly recommended by Amazon shoppers and each comes with its own remote control.

How we test
When testing home tech products, especially space heaters, we try them out for at least a week (usually longer), focusing on ease of assembly (if any), heat performance and intensity, quietness, oscillation range, potential smart connectivity and overall product packaging.
From testing if a space heater is strong enough to reach across a large room or if it's quiet enough to use on medium-to-full blast, without distraction, while watching a movie, we've put it all to the test.
We then compare the findings to determine how well each product performs so you can choose the best fan for you.

The best Dreo space heaters of 2025, tested and reviewed
1. Best tower space heater: Dreo Tower Heater 718
2. Most affordable space heater: Dreo Heater Atom One
3. Best room-filling heater: Dreo Whole-Room Heater 715
4. Best compact space heater: Dreo Whole-Room Heater 714
Our verdict
Dreo's space heaters are absolutely worth the hype and continue to live up to their reputation as being among the best that money can buy.
For heating large spaces, the Whole-Room Heater 715 and Tower Heater 718 are my top recommendations. They have widespread heating ranges with the 715's fan-like build allowing it to circulate warm air throughout a room, both vertically and horizontally, for more even heat distribution.
The Whole-Room Heater 714 and Atom One work well at heating smaller spaces with the former edging out the older Atom One by a fair margin.
FAQ
What are the top three space heater usage rules?
There are a few rules everyone should follow while using a standard space heater:
- Always keep the heater at least three feet away from any easily flammable materials like drapes, bedding, furniture or paper.
- Be sure to place the heater on a hard, flat surface before turning it on. Try to avoid placing it on carpets, rugs or soft furniture that could cause it to fall or tip over.
- Plug the unit directly into a wall outlet. Never connect a space heater to an extension cord or power strip as it can overheat and may eventually lead to a fire.
